Is the mystery shopper offer from Axiom legit, or a money laundering scheme?

I have received a check from Axoim Information Co. to be a mystery shopper. The offer seems to be legit, but part of the requirement would be to conduct a wire transaction for over three thousand dollars, which they have included in the check. If I cash the check, wait until it clears, then wire their money, could this be a money laundering scheme? Other requirements would be for me to spend at least $100 of another $400 that they have given me at a Wal-Mart, Target, etc. Has anyone tried this program before?
