Are there laws against having a bow and arrow?

i live in san antonio texas.its not really an actually bow but its a slingshot that i modified to be able to shoot arrows.its not for hunting i would just use it for target practice in my backyard.since this could be concidered a weapon are there any laws or permits or anyting for owning one?
