Cav Scout vs. Intelligence?

I want to join the army, the only problem I have is I dont know what MOS I want. I think Cav Scout would be cool, the only problem is my family (in theyre own words) doesnt want me to die. On the other hand there are a couple of MOS' in the intelligence field that might be alright such as 34f and 34h. The only problem with those is I dont want to sit around all day and look at papers, which is how I've percieved them, I want to be out there making a difference. So if anyone has any insight into these and which one might be a good choice it would be real helpful. My plans are to go in enlisted and then get a commission and then keep the military as my career.
