Can you please help me understand a dream about snakes?

I had a strange dream with snakes in 2 different ways. I was in the back yard. At my feet were tiny little snakes moving around. A friend (I don't remember who) told me they were baby rattlesnakes and if I moved they would bite and kill me, and if I didn't move they would eventually still bite and kill me, so good-bye. At the same time, there were 2 big snakes in the branches above (think boas) and my 4 year old son was playing with them. I'd appreciate any insight!!
